The autonomy of the scooters is indicated on the app, you can go anywhere within the limit of the autonomy and put the scooter back in an area. Areas in high-rise housing estates (Belvedere, Tetavake, Temaruata, Miri, Vaitevere) or damaged roads (Maroto Valley) are inaccessible with our scooters.

At the end of your rental, you must park the vehicle in the area indicated on the application. If you are outside the area, you will not be able to complete your journey!

You need internet to register on the app, to start and stop your rental. You can use the WiFi at the airport, your hotel or your Aribnb if necessary! If you want to lock the scooter during rental, you can turn on the bluetooth and pause via the app. We offer esim with our partner Airalo: code SCOOT15 to get 15% off!

The daily price applies automatically if you keep the same rental and the same vehicle during the day.
To get the daily rate, put your rental on “Pause” and keep the same vehicle, if you change it, the billing starts from scratch!

Your rental includes refueling the vehicle. For the car, if you need more gas, fill it up directly at the station.
For scooters, they are recharged directly by our teams. To have a full battery, go to one of the 5 charging stations.

Our scooters are 50cc, so you need a BSR, a passport if you were born before 2000 or a B license. Add it directly to your reservation or your account on the Hello Scoot' app.

What are the registration criteria?

Where can I find Hello Scoot’?
All Hello Scoot’ scooters available for rental are displayed on the map when you open the Hello Scoot’ app. The map shows a defined zone where you can rent and park a scooter.
During your ride, you can travel as far as you like, both inside and outside the zone, as long as you return the scooter to the designated area.
When does a rental start and end?

Your rental begins when you unlock the scooter.END
Your rental ends when you finish your ride by clicking "End" in the app. A confirmation message will appear, and you’ll then be charged for the trip.PAUSE
You can pause your rental at any time using the "Pause" button. This allows you to park the scooter and ensure it’s still available when you need it again.You can stop as often as you like, but keep in mind that the rental continues, and charges apply at the same rate!
Where can I park?
You can park your Hello Scoot’ in any designated two-wheel parking spaces in the city.
If you park in an unauthorized area, the scooter may be fined, and you will be responsible for the ticket, along with any administrative fees outlined in our Terms of Service.
Additionally, unauthorized parking may inconvenience other users.
Can I park at home?
No! Hello Scoot’ scooters are meant to be shared and must be parked in public parking spaces for two-wheelers.
If a scooter is parked in a location inaccessible to the public, fees may apply.
If you want to keep the scooter at home, you must put your rental on Pause.
My Hello Scoot’ is reserved. How much time do I have to retrieve it?
You have 20 minutes to reach and unlock the scooter.
After 20 minutes, the reservation expires, and someone else can take the scooter.
You are only charged once you unlock the scooter.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes, you have 20 minutes to cancel your reservation for free.
Can I leave the Hello Scoot’ zone?
Yes, you can leave the zone, pause, and resume your ride at any time.
What are the service hours?
The service is available 24/7, every day.

Can I bring a passenger on my Hello Scoot’?
Yes! Hello Scoot’ scooters are approved to carry two people, with a total weight limit of 150 kg.
Both you and your passenger are insured during your trip. Please note, however, that the scooter may struggle on very steep hills.
Can I lend my Hello Scoot’ to a friend?
No! Your Hello Scoot’ account is personal and ensures insurance coverage for you and one passenger only.
If your friend wants to use the service, they can create their own account on the app.
What should I do to end a rental?
Simply:
- Park the scooter in a designated spot.
- Place the helmet and disposable cap back in the top case.
- End the rental in the app.
Once the rental is successfully ended, you’ll receive a confirmation message and an email with a summary of your trip.
Do I need to charge the scooter?
No, we handle all the recharging! You just need to check the battery level when reserving and ensure it’s sufficient for your trip.
The cost of recharging is included in the rental price.
However, make sure to return the scooter to the service area. If you run out of battery outside the zone, a 30,000 XPF towing fee will be applied!

How should I be equipped to ride?
You must ALWAYS wear your helmet 😊
We recommend our users wear:
- Long pants (like jeans).
- Closed-toe shoes, ideally covering the ankles.
- A jacket suitable for two-wheeler riding.
To ensure maximum safety, we have comprehensive insurance that covers you for every trip.
Is there a deposit?
No! There’s no deposit required. Simply sign up for Hello Scoot’ via our website or mobile app.
Where can I find the vehicle documents and insurance certificate?
The scooter's documents are in the top case, including accident report forms if needed.
What is the maximum weight?
Our scooters are designed to carry up to 150 kg. Beyond this limit, we cannot guarantee user safety.
Hills and residential climbs?
Our scooters are equivalent to 50cc gas scooters in power, so they can handle hills, but with the performance of a 50cc scooter.
The more the scooter is loaded, the harder it will be to climb steep hills. The same applies to downhill braking performance.

How do I report damage before starting a rental?
After making your reservation, the app will ask if there is any damage to report. You can take photos of any visible damage to ensure you are not held responsible during your rental.

What should I do if I have a windshield breakage?
In case of a windshield breakage:

Is there a deductible in case of damages?

Can I take passengers in my Hellocar?
Yes! Our vehicles are insured, and you can carry passengers as long as you do not exceed the seating capacity.
How much time do I have to report an incident?
- You have up to 5 days to report an incident.
- In case of theft, you have 2 days to file your report before additional fees apply.
What happens if I don’t report an incident?
If you fail to report an incident, the app may charge you for the cost of the damages found.
Where can I find the safety vests and triangles in case of an accident?
The safety vests and triangles are stored in the trunk of the Hellocar, under the trunk covers (to be confirmed).
